A quick visit to Nelson saw some wonderful scenery under blue skies. Nakusp, apparently stayed cloudy.... |
This blog exists to help me document and describe my birding and natural history experiences in Canada throughout the year of 2012 [and January and February 2013 in the states]. 2012 will see me on teaching exchange to Nakusp, in beautiful British Columbia. I'm hoping to see many great new birds and animals as well as showing my family some great scenery. You may be wondering why I mentioned birds twice - I like them.

Nice one Ken!
ReplyDeleteHi Ken, can't remember if our 2009 group went to Nelson, suspect not, can't recall that bridge. Have you seen any phoebes (the bird, that is) yet, are they a winter bird or not?
ReplyDeleteNo we went from Nakusp north so Nelson was new territory for me. And the drive down was very occasionally and very literally conversation stopping. I'm still to see lakes and snow clothed mountains without registering a distinct emotional response. Many of the locals express similar sentiments. There is an enduring beauty here - that's for sure.
ReplyDeletePhoebes we'll start to see in spring I'm hoping.
