And now for Something completely Different

Pete and Glenys Cross, my folks, have been travelling around Victoria and have sighted a Canadian bird in Paynesville on the 9 October. A reasonably rare Franklins Gull. Perhaps there have been some twenty recorded sightings for Australia. Here are the pics.

  1. Ken,
Pete's gull has caused a flurry of twitching activity in Victoria and was species number 724 in John Weigel's big year. He broke Sean Dooley's record (720 IOC adjusted) with a Semi-palmated Plover, and still has 7 weeks to go
