Richmond Nature Park

Finally after a few weeks touring around Vancouver Island we returned to the mainland where we had booked a motel for a few nights in northern Vancouver.

Enroute however I decided to have a quick visit to a small nature park in Richmond, to the south of Vancouver and closer to the airport. The park was named the Richmond Nature Park.

Red-breasted Nuthatch

House Finch

Downy Woodpecker - female

Hairy Woodpecker - female
My main target was Douglas Squirrel however they proved invisible or perhaps they were just missing as there was many of the larger introduced Grey Squirrels in a bewildering variety of colours and patterns. I had a quick walk around before hanging out by some feeders that had been set up behind the information room. I managed to get a few photos of some of the visiting species.
